This season has been full of ups and downs for my predictions, but not since week one have I had such a terrible week. The worst part about last week’s performance was how confident I felt about my picks. In fact, last week was so bad that I felt compelled to make a set of rules to go by for the rest of the season when making my predictions. The list will likely continue to grow, but here’s what I’ve come up with so far:

  1. Do not, under any circumstances, pick against Alabama again. It doesn’t matter how high the line is.
  2. Arkansas will always disappoint you. Sorry, Razorback fans.
  3. If you feel really confident about a game, check yourself because your confidence is more than likely irrational.
  4. Missouri is a dumpster fire and should be treated as such until proven otherwise.

I hope that following these rules will lead to better results from here on out. I promise to be better and get this thing back on track starting with this week’s games.
