Week Ten of SEC Football is officially in the books. That means it’s time for us to take a look back at our three things we watched for this week. Without further ado, let’s just dive right in.

3. Can Kentucky Beat Georgia?

Kentucky could have, but they didn’t. At the end of the day, the Kentucky defense couldn’t stop a late comeback led by Jacob Eason and Sony Michel. Still, the Wildcats played a tough game and should be commended for their effort.

The Wildcats remain one win away from bowl eligibility, a mark they will certainly reach in two weeks against Austin Peay. The Bulldogs are in the exact same boat, as they currently also sit at the five win mark. They will pick up a sixth in two weeks against Louisiana-Lafayette.

2. Can Austin Allen Overcome the Florida Secondary?

It turned out that he didn’t need to. The Hogs put the ball in the hands of Rawleigh Williams III, and he produced in a big way. In fact, Florida’s only touchdown came on a pick-six that Allen threw. So it wasn’t one of his better days.

Nevertheless, the Hogs won big due to their run game and defense playing well. The Hogs have three games remaining, two of which are extremely winnable. If the Razorbacks can find a way to beat LSU, then they will finish with a very successful nine win total.

1. Who Wins, the Unstoppable Force or the Immovable Object?

The immovable object won easily. Leonard Fournette had nowhere to go, gaining just 35 yards on 17 carries. Alabama’s defense clearly did not respect Danny Etling, and he showed them that they did not need to. Etling missed on several easy throws.

I feel a little bit bad for Fournette. He is a great running back. However, if you don’t have any help from your offensive line, which Fournette didn’t, and your quarterback is bad, which Etling is, then you aren’t gonna do well against elite defenses.
