Spring football is alive and well in the SEC, and SEC spring games are about to get underway.

11 of the 13 remaining SEC spring football games will be televised on the SEC network, with Alabama being the only one televised on ESPN and Texas A&M on ESPNU.

If you love spring games, April is the month for you. I’m not ready to call it April Madness or anything, but it should provide us all with the football fix we’ve so desperately needed.

Vanderbilt was covered on March 25 and 26 on SEC Now.

One interesting angle this spring will be in Georgia’s annual G-Day game. They will have six additional commentators shadowing and participating as referees. They will take you behind-the-scenes into prep meetings and referee roles and positioning.

The SEC Coordinator of Football Officials, Steve Shaw, will serve as the game’s “white hat”. He will be mic’d up and will also wear a head cam for an interesting viewpoint. Fans will be able to watch the UmpCam on the ESPN app and WatchESPN.

The first spring game will be this Saturday at South Carolina. The school probably didn’t anticipate the Gamecocks playing in the NCAA Final Four when they scheduled it for Apr. 1.

Below is a list of dates and commentators for each SEC spring football game.
