Florida Football’s spring practice begins in less than a week. It’s a crucial year for the Gator football program, and these are three things every fan needs to know about the upcoming season.

The culture of Florida football has changed.

In just a year, Florida head coach Dan Mullen has implemented an attitude of toughness and “relentless effort” into the program, and the mindset has translated into wins.

The Gators are riding a high after Mullen’s first season at the helm. He finished the season with a 10-3 overall and 5-3 in conference play. This record improved by leaps and bounds from the 2017 season where Florida went 4-7 overall and 3-5 in the SEC.

Mullen and his Gators ended the season with four straight wins.

Two of those wins were blowout victories. The first came against arch-rival FSU where the Gators won 41-14. Florida finished off the season with a statement win in the Peach Bowl over then-ranked No. 7 Michigan defeating the Wolverines 41-15.

Then Florida put together a solid 2019 recruiting class that ranked as the No. 9 in the country on 247Sports Composite team rankings.  After finishing the season on a high note, this recruiting class capped off a successful year one for Mullen.

With that much success in year one, Gator fans have high hopes of the future and how this Mullen will transform the program.

Spring football practice begins March 12th in Gainesville, and like always, Gator fans have endless questions surrounding gator football.
