Steve Spurrier, South Carolina Gamecocks/Florida Gators

Steve Spurrier is beloved by the media, not so much by fans. His biting comments towards other fan bases hasn’t exactly made him a fan favorite. In the past, Spurrier has taken digs at rival Florida State (he said the FSU stands for Free Shoes University) and at rival Tennessee. Spurrier said one time about Tennessee that “You can’t spell Citrus without UT.” To say that didn’t sit well with the Vols or Seminoles fans, would probably be an understatement. What probably hurts worse is the fact that Spurrier beat the pants off of everybody, especially while he was at Florida, and wasn’t sorry for it; he even ran up the score a few times too.
