After a rough opening SEC campaign in 2012, when the Missouri Tigers went 2-6 in conference play, the Tigers have been very competitive in a tough league.
During the last two seasons, Missouri have gone 7-1 in the SEC winning the SEC East and has only dropped three games at home during that span.
The Tigers will play SE Missouri State, UConn, South Carolina, Florida, Mississippi State and Tennessee at home this season at Faurot Field.
South Carolina is the only team listed above who have beaten the Tigers at home the last two seasons and that was in overtime in 2013. It was one of two losses for Missouri that year, the other coming in the SEC Championship game.
This season, the Gamecocks, Vols and Mississippi State will be the Tigers biggest competition at home. The Gators may also pose a problem. Last year, the Tigers averaged 28 points at home last season and held opponents to an average of 12 points
Missouri’s high powered offense and stingy defense, could help the Tigers continue to dominate its SEC opponents.
