Kentucky is known as a basketball school. Any hope for a lot of wins on the football field is highly unlikely. However, the Wildcats will play host to eight home games in 2015 and have a tough road ahead.
The Wildcats will play Louisiana Lafayette, Florida, Missouri, Eastern Kentucky, Auburn, Tennessee, Charlotte and Louisville in friendly confines, but don’t expect much from the Wildcats.
Kentucky is a team that is close, but can’t seem to get over the hump. Last season, when they played the Gators in Gainesville in September, they lost in triple overtime. If that game had turned out differently, Kentucky may have done better because of the confidence the could have built from that victory.
This year, all of Kentucky’s staple games against in state rivals and teams like the Gators, who they haven’t beat in over five years, will all be played at home. The Wildcats have a chance to do well, but it’s going to be tough road to hold.
