Clemson makes their second appearance on our list, this time facing off against the Auburn Tigers. Auburn was a major disappointment last season. Some pundits predicted them to win the SEC and Jeremy Johnson to be a Heisman candidate. Instead, they finished last in the SEC West and Johnson was benched in favor of Sean White.

Things only got worse for Auburn this offseason, when Jovon Robinson was dismissed from the team. That puts the load squarely on Kerryon Johnson. Johnson is the only proven offensive weapon on the team. The quarterback question is still unsettled, and the receiving corps is young and unproven. The good news is that Auburn returns talent on the defensive side of the ball, in the form of Carl Lawson, Montravius Adams, and Carlton Davis.

Prediction: Auburn’s defense will be tough this season, but they won’t be able to stop Deshaun Watson. And their dysfunctional offense won’t be able to score nearly enough to keep up. Clemson wins big, and the Auburn natives begin to grow restless.
