Arkansas had a rough beginning to last season, but they finished strong, ending the season at 8-5. They lost four of their first six, including a loss against Toledo. But they won six of their last seven after that. Bret Bielema and the Hogs will look to build on that positive momentum this season.

If they want to avoid another slow start, the Hogs will have to beat TCU in Fort Worth. Unfortunately, they have some rebuilding to do on offense. Brandon Allen and Alex Collins are both gone, as are three offensive linemen. How much success the Hogs have on that side of the ball will depend on their rebuilt line and Brandon’s younger brother, Austin Allen.

The good news is that the Hogs return nine of 11 starters on defense. The bad news is that they weren’t a particularly good team on defense last season. Hopefully, the extra year of seasoning will help them improve.

TCU also has questions on offense. They’ll have a new starting quarterback, possibly Texas A&M quarterback Kenny Hill, and four new starters along the offensive line. The defense also has some question marks.

Prediction: The Hogs will get off to a better start this season by scoring a big road win in Fort Worth. Rawleigh Williams will lead the way and the improved Hog defense will feast on a young TCU offensive line.
