Georgia football: the big red recruiting machine rumbles
Notable gets
New Dawg quarterback Justin Fields of Kennesaw, Georgia, is rated a statistical equal to the nation’s top quarterback, Clemson signee, Trevor Lawrence of Cartersville.
The nation’s top running back and new Dawg, Zamir White, rates comparisons to another North Carolina high school and Georgia football star, Todd Gurley.
For good measure, Georgia also signed the nation’s third ranked running back, James Cook of Miami.
No one goes anywhere without an offensive line, and you need two guards. So, Georgia signed the number one and the number two nationally ranked offensive guards, Jamaree Salyer from Atlanta and Trey Hill of Warner-Robbins.
(Hill blocked for a quarterback named Fromm, Dylan Fromm, Jakes little brother, at Houston County High, so he should fit right in.)
You need tackles, too, so while Tennessee was distracted looking for a coach, the Dawgs raided Knoxville for the nation’s second ranked offensive tackle, Cade Mays.
On defense, Georgia signed the nations top outside linebacker, Adam Anderson of Rome. and the nation’s second ranked strong side defensive end, Brenton Cox of Stockbridge.
