2. Florida Gators

Previous Ranking: 2

Remaining in the No. 2 spot this week is Florida, with the Gators now sitting at 22-4 overall this season, as well as 5-1 in SEC play. One of the most impressive weeks of any SEC baseball team, the Gators originally began the week with a 9-5 road win at rival Florida State, and would then go on the road to sweep Ole Miss in Oxford by final scores of 9-7, 12-8, and 7-4.

Florida will now face Florida State once again this week, with the matchup taking place Tuesday night. The Gators will then host Auburn this weekend in conference play.

1. LSU Tigers

Previous Ranking: 1

After picking up a big SEC baseball series win this past weekend, LSU remains in the No. 1 spot, as the Tigers now sit at 21-3 overall, as well as 4-2 in conference play. Beginning the week Tuesday night with a 10-4 win over Central Arkansas, the Tigers would go on to drop game one at home to Arkansas, 9-3, on Friday night, but would bounce back Saturday sweeping games two-and-three, 12-2 and 14-5, respectively.

LSU will once again remain at home this week for four games, the first of which comes Tuesday as the Tigers face Grambling. The Tigers will then host Tennessee this weekend in one of the SEC’s top matchups of the week.
