I’ve now taken on the dubious task of already looking into next season to try and find the potential Heisman contenders from the SEC. I mean, why not? There are 8th graders out there getting scholarship offers. We follow some kids’ recruitment from the 9th grade, just as long as they got 3 stars or better by their name. So, yes, it is ridiculous to predict Heisman candidates almost a year and a half away from the 2017 Heisman ceremony. But it is what we do in the projections’ world.
