The current crop of SEC football coaches is not quite as impressive as it has been is previous years. So we start by ranking the coaches by counting down from 14 to 8.

It’s not that the bottom half of the SEC doesn’t have good coaches, they just lack experience. The seven coaches have combined to coach for 20 seasons in the SEC.

There’s only four coaches in the conference that have been at their school for more than four years. There’s also five coaches that have been at their school for two years or less.

Here’s how Southbound and Down ranks the SEC head coaches counting down from 14 to 8.
