SECOND ROUND, SESSION ONE

Second Round, Game 3 – No. 8 Florida Gators vs. No 9 Alabama Crimson Tide

March 12, 2015 – 12:00 pm
SEC Network

Anytime you draw the Florida Gators (15-16, 8-10 SEC) in an SEC Tournament game, you need to worry. The Gators have had a very down season by Florida standards, but they are still one of the most dangerous teams in this tournament.

Alabama (18-13, 8-10 SEC) has been playing hot-and-cold ball in the last two months of the season, and snapped a two-game losing streak by beating Texas A&M in their regular season finale. Still, the Gators aren’t a pushover as they demonstrated in their final game against Kentucky.

Edge has to go to the Gators, just because Billy Donovan knows how to prepare his team for these situations, and the matchup is even other than coaching.

Second Round, Game 4 – No. 5 Texas A&M Aggies vs. Game 1 winner

The Aggies (20-10, 11-7 SEC) get to rest for a day and wait for either Mississippi State or Auburn to come calling. We picked the Bulldogs to win game one, but really it’s immaterial. Regardless of who wins that game, neither team is ready to match up with Texas A&M at this point.

However, Texas A&M has had a few bad moments, and could play a game like they did against Ole Miss late in the season, when the Aggies could do nothing right. Not likely, but anything is possible.
