  • Derek Franks: Kentrell Brothers

Our one editor who went against the offensive grain comes from Missouri…big surprise there. The Tigers have had some outstanding defensive players come and go over the past few seasons, and linebacker Kentrell Brothers may be the next start defender coming out of Columbia.

Brothers finished 2014 with 122 tackles (62 solo) and was one of the big reasons Missouri went to their second straight SEC Championship game. This year with several key defenders moving on from college, Brothers has a chance to step up and become the team leader on defense.

Mizzou’s strength over the past few seasons has been at end, where they always seem to have some devastating pass rushers, but Brothers can flip the script and become a huge weapon in pass defense for Gary Pinkel’s team.
