  • Editor Nicholas Ian Allen: Jeremy Johnson

Our Auburn editor seems to think that replacing Nick Marshall will be what brings Auburn back, as his pick probable new starting QB Jeremy Johnson.

The Tigers haven’t seen much of the sophomore quarterback yet, as he only took a few snaps in mop-up duty last season, and did get one start when Marshall was suspended for the season opener. But head coach Gus Malzahn seems to have a knack for developing quarterbacks, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see Johnson emerge as a star for this team.

The way the Tigers played defense last year, they’ll need all the offense they can get…unless Will Muschamp can do a dramatic one year turnaround for that defense.
