No. 2: Potential Coach of the Year – Bret Bielema, Arkansas Razorbacks

Bret Bielema has Arkansas fans believing in the Razorbacks again, and he’s shown improvement in each of his two seasons as head coach. The Hogs are one of the toughest teams in SEC in the trenches, and they run the ball as well as anyone.

The defense really began to gel last season, and had their best game of the year in the 31-7 win over Texas in the Texas Bowl. Offensively, the Razorbacks just need a quarterback to bring it all together to have an offense that is balanced and tough to stop.

Arkansas could easily go from 7-6 to 10-3 or even 11-2 this season, and depending on how the rest of the SEC West fleshes out, Bielema will be a runaway favorite for Coach of the Year (provided he doesn’t go on any more rants about quick-paced offenses and the 10-second rule).
