No. 10: Potential Surprise Heisman Contender of the Year – Laquon Treadwell, WR, Ole Miss Rebels

Treadwell was having another great season for the Rebels in 2014 before the unfortunate and grisly injury that ended his season against the Auburn Tigers. Even despite missing the last four games, he still managed to lead the Rebels in receiving.

Quarterback Bo Wallace, the man who hooked up with Treadwell so often, is now done, and the Rebels are going to have to find someone to replace “Good Bo”, who when he was on was one of the best in the conference. The new quarterback will be counting on Treadwell to be his go-to receiver.

The broken leg he suffered in the awkward tackle kept Treadwell sidelined for the end of the season, but he’s been working hard to return to form and is expected to be ready for the season opener. If the right guy is throwing him the ball, Treadwell could be the best receiver in the SEC, as well as a mid-season addition to the Heisman Watch.
