No. 6: Potential Dominant Defensive Player of the Year – Robert Nkemdiche, DT, Ole Miss Rebels

When the Rebels got the commitment from Nkemdiche, it was a signal that Ole Miss football was about to get real. Their recruiting classes have been getting better and better, as have the football teams in Oxford.

The former No. 1 overall recruit from the 2013 is about to be in his third season with Ole Miss, and it may be his last. Chances are, you’ll see plays from Nkemdiche like you’ve never seen and dominance that will make Jadeveon Clowney’s final season seem pale by comparison.

Despite facing double and triple teams in the interior of Ole Miss line, Nkemdich came up with 35 tackles, four tackles for loss, two sacks, and one pass broken up in 2014. I’d look for some seriously dominant play from this defensive line, all keyed off Nkemdiche this season.
