No. 5: Potential Breakout Player of the Year – Joshua Dobbs, QB, Tennessee Volunteers

Tennessee may very well be the breakout team of the year in the SEC, and Joshua Dobbs showed at the end of 2014 that he’s ready to live up to the potential he showed.

The fact is, when he won the starting job in 2013, Dobbs wasn’t ready, and he paid the price. But after struggling on the field, and then regaining his confidence as he took over as the starter midway through the 2014 season, Dobbs began to come into his own.

If Dobbs steps up his play the way he did in the Taxslayer Bowl against Iowa (where he won MVP of the game), then Tennessee has finally go themselves a real live quarterback to go with those talented receivers and tough as nails defense.
