Is there a more delusional group of fans in the SEC?

Hey, Bulldog Nation, cheering for your team and being excited and passionate are all great, but let’s tone down the talk of how great your program is, shall we?

Yes, you’ve got a good program…a winning program. But after Herschel Walker left you didn’t even win a conference title until 2002, and didn’t even sniff a national championship. In basketball you’ve tasted nothing but sour early exits from the few NCAA tournaments you made since 1983.

If you try to argue with a Georgia fan about how their sports programs are rooted in a lot of mediocrity, they just snap like a cheap garter. It’s hard to be rational with these folks, even when Georgia is doing well.

And stop hating on your football coach already. The guy is the one redeeming quality your program has.
