No. 1 – Alabama Crimson Tide and Auburn Tigers

The Iron Bowl. Bammers and Barners. RTR and WDE.

All of these things add up to what is absolutely the most hate-inspired rivalry in college sports.

Michigan-Ohio State? Two mules fighting over a turnip.

Notre Dame-USC? There have been presidential elections with more mudslinging.

But Alabama-Auburn has become the gold standard for white hot abhorrence and loathing. It doesn’t matter what the sport, or if there is any sport going on at all. These two schools just love to hate on each other year round.

They don’t even call a cease fire for Christmas.

If Vince McMahon and the WWE ever run out of brain-dead wrestlers to beat up on each other, they can just hand pick some fans from the Iron Bowl and throw them in the squared circle to go at it. Guaranteed you’ll probably get a better match if they do.
