Nashville, Tn. (Vanderbilt Commodores)

Average Rank – 3
No. First Place Votes – 2
No. Last Place Votes – 1

Most of our voters had Nashville rated at or near the top (with one exception). While it can’t be denied that Nashville is one of America’s greatest cities, with music, food and lots to see and do, Vanderbilt as a university for athletics is still not a great draw.

The biggest complaint, even from those who loved the music scene, was that there wasn’t enough variety…not everyone likes country music apparently.

“The only reason it is not No.1 is because it is far from a “town”, and the SEC is far from what it is known for (you don’t exactly think of Vanderbilt athletics when you think of Nashville). That being said, Vandy’s location right next to historic downtown Nashville gives visiting fans plenty to do during their visit, as well as tremendous food and hospitality.”
