10. Texas A&M Aggies: 15/1
After losing five of their last seven in ’14, the odds makers see A&M as a longshot compared to their western peers, but before you make your bet, don’t forget to look at the cards in A&M’s hand.
The first advantage the boys of Texas have is home cookin’. The football gods blessed the Aggies with seven home games and two ‘neutral site’ games played inside state lines. Besides Ole Miss and LSU, A&M’s only road game is at Vandy.
Another plus for the Aggies is the abundance of returning talent on both sides of the ball.
On offense, you have the one-two punch of Kyle Allen and Tra Carson in the backfield, and three big name receivers in Noil, Seals-Jones, and all-conference Josh Reynolds.
On defense, the Ags’ return all of their pass rushers, led by all-conference Myles Garrett. Eight starters return, including six upperclassmen. Not only that, but they hired a new coordinator. Oh, he’s no big deal.
Intriguing wild card pick: Nine home games coupled with talent on both sides of the ball and a great hire at defensive coordinator? Don’t say I didn’t warn ya’. These Aggies could be lethal.
