9. Mississippi State Bulldogs (13/1)

The lethal duo that led Mississippi State to its best season in a decade will be back on campus for the last time in ’15, and they plan to make the most of it.

Passing for almost 3,500 yards in ’14, QB Dak Prescott is a key factor in the Bulldogs success. With only returning nine starters, the Bulldogs will have to open their warchest if they want to compete for the crown. And without Josh Robinson’s 1,200+ yards of rushing, they’ll have to find some way to balance out to the attack and keep defenses off Prescott.

However, if the Bulldogs’ play reflects their coaching, reloading the roster shouldn’t be a problem. Newbies are welcome.

Underdog again: We didn’t think Dan Mullen could pull a ten-win season in ‘14, and he did. We’re not saying he can’t win a championship, but the ‘Dogs are going to need a solid reload if they’re going to keep up with the rest of the western heavyweights.
