He Tells It Like It Is

Saban is one of the few coaches who doesn’t do the traditional coach speak. He is going to say what he believes in whether we like it or not. For example, after the Jonathan Taylor failure, Saban held a press conference to address the issue. Instead of apologizing for bringing Taylor to the program which some thought he should have done, Saban said he had no regrets in bringing in the troubled athlete and thought at the time he deserved another chance.

That didn’t sit well at all with the national media who thought Saban was being insensitive to the issue of domestic violence. Saban would later come back to clarify his statements, but did not apologize for doing what he thought was right.
