If Alabama does not win the 2015-2016 College Football Playoff, it will be the longest consecutive season drought without a national championship since Nick Saban took over the Crimson Tide in 2007. It is going to be a long tested journey before the Tide can return to the playoff, or heck even Atlanta for that matter. Georgia will be the first SEC team to host Saban and the Tide in 2015. UGA is a preseason top 10 team and will be licking their Bulldog chops when Alabama comes rolling into town. Two weeks following on October 17th, Alabama will head West looking to conquer 102,000 plus Aggie fans at Kyle Field. Then the Tide will call on Mississippi State who will look to redeem their five point loss to Alabama last year with a home stand in Starkville in week 10 this year. And who could forget about the Iron Bowl? One of the biggest rivalries in all of sports returns to Auburn in late November. There are still many Bama fans who are still licking their wounds from the famed “Kick Six” play that ended Alabama’s national championship hopes back in 2013.
