Texas Bowl: Mississippi State

Most are expecting Mississippi State to take a nosedive this fall, but Bulldogs’ fans are rejuvenated after strong-armed quarterback Dak Prescott announced that he would be returning to Starkville.

While the offensive line is considered a giant question mark, Prescott will have friends in receiver De’Runnya Wilson and running back Ashton Shumpert.

Wilson returns as the Bulldogs’ leading receiver, and Shumpert, a speedster with growth potential, takes over the role of starting running back.

Almost all of State’s defense will be gone, but Beniquez Brown will provide leadership and act as an on-field coach.

Mississippi State will be underdogs in 2015, but Dak Prescott gives the Bulldogs a shot at favorable bowl positioning. Both State fans and college football fans in general will flock to the stands and their tv sets to see Prescott.
