6. Mark Ingram, Alabama
The Alabama Crimson Tide’s first and at this point only Heisman Trophy winner, Ingram is the first of three Heisman laureates in this countdown.
Ingram is the only SEC running back in history to help his team win a national championship and be named the Heisman winner in the same season (2009).
Ingram spent three years at Alabama before turning pro and racked up 3261 career rushing yards, 42 rushing touchdowns and averaged 5.7 yards per gain.
Ingram had to share the first team reps with players like Trent Richardson and Eddie Lacy which is why he is not higher on this list.
