Joshua Dobbs, JR, QB, Tennessee
Dobbs is the main hope for the Volunteers faithful in 2015. In six games in 2014, Dobbs went 4-1 in his starts, averaging 279 yards per game and 17 touchdowns. Dobbs’ 469 rushing yards was second best on the team behind teammate Jalen Hurd (another athlete on the Maxwell Award watch list).
He threw for 1209 yards in 2014 and I think he can eclipse 2000 yard mark easily this season. If Dobbs were to win the Maxwell Award he would join Peyton Manning as the only Volunteers to ever win the award.
