Alabama’s Mark Ingram is the only player to have won the Heisman for the Crimson Tide and the only running back to have officially won the award this century. There is a new Bama ball carrier in town and his name is Derrick Henry, or as his twitter labels him, @KingHenry_2.
Henry has all the attributes needed to sit on the throne as the best player in college football. The six foot three 242 pound man child is a load coming out of the backfield. Henry ran for over 990 yards and 5.8 per carry all while splitting time with T.J. Yeldon. Now that Yeldon is in the NFL, the self proclaimed King will get a lot more touches in 2015. If a quality starter at quarterback can emerge, combined with his increased touches, Henry has a chance of repeating Ingram’s historic moment.
