Steve Spurrier (Evaluation)

This is where things get a really dicey.  Many media outlets rank Spurrier as a top 3 coach in the entire SEC.  But in this power ranking he ranks third in just the East.

Again, the criteria here is what has each coach accomplished at their current school.  While 3 straight double digit win seasons, an SEC Championship appearance, and a 5 year domination of Clemson is nice, it does not quite stack up to the accomplishments of the two coaches ahead of him.

While Spurrier’s all-time accomplishments trump any other coach’s on this particular list, the criteria here relegates him to third.
