Week 3 – Sept. 19: Home vs. Ole Miss – Bryant-Denny Stadium Tuscaloosa, Alabama

The portion of the schedule with easy games never lasts long for any SEC team and that holds true for the Tide in 2015.  They go up against their first SEC opponent of the season in week three when the Ole Miss Rebels come to town.

The Rebels are the only team that handed the Tide a regular season loss in 2014.

This will be the first true test for the Crimson Tide.  If by week three their offense isn’t clicking on all cylinders, the Tide could tumble and be on the outside looking in early during the season: a place where no team wants to be with only four postseason spots for the College Football Playoff.

The combo of wide receiver Laquon Treadwell and tight end Evan Engram along with the ‘Landshark’ defense will present big problems for the Crimson Tide in this early season match-up.

I think the Rebels will surprise some people with their high-powered offense that has improved since 2014 and take down the Crimson Tide, handing Alabama their first and possibly only loss of the regular season again in 2015.

Record after week 3: 2-1

Next: Week 4: ULM
