Week 3 – Sept. 19: Home vs. Texas Tech, Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium Fayetteville, Arkansas
In the first-ever meeting between these two programs in 2014, Arkansas took the win 49-28. This year behind the arm of quarterback Brandon Allen, the Hogs will win for the second straight year in a high scoring affair.
Allen threw five interceptions last season, the fewest by an Arkansas passer since 1992. Against a Texas Tech team that has never been good against passing teams, Allen will exploit the secondary of the Red Raiders.
Allen will be protected by the team’s returning four offensive linemen, allowing him to chuck it down the field with time to spare. The defensive back core of Arkansas will stop Texas Tech on every drive in the second half as they alternate using five players at the cornerback position. Arkansas wins this matchup by two touchdowns as both teams score over 21 points.
Record after week three: 2-1
