While the quarterback battle between Kyle Allen and Kyler Murray will grab the bulk of the headlines, Texas A&M’s most important offensive player is none other than offensive tackle Germain Ifedi.

The quarterbacks will grab the spotlight and Speedy Noil will be celebrated from the talented group of receivers at A&M.  But the less you hear Ifedi’s name, likely the better.  What makes Ifedi’s importance so great is that, according to dallasnews.com, A&M lost both Cedric Ogbuehi and Jarvis Harrison from the 2014 offensive line for the NFL.

If the winner of the quarterback battle is successful, it will be due in at least part to Germain Ifedi.  If he is able to lead an offensive line (that is missing some key players from a year ago) into a unit that can protect the quarterback and open up running lanes, Ifedi will be the A&M’s MVP and a first round draft pick.
