The quarterback situation for Vanderbilt was an absolute mess in 2014.  4 different players saw action at the position according to vucommodores.com, and is was not for mop-up duty.  Of that group, Johnny McCrary shined the brightest.  Still according to vucommodores.com, he led all quarterbacks in completion percentage (51.3), passing yards (985) and passing touchdowns (9).

While his overall numbers are uninspiring, he can continue to grow and develop.  He was only a freshman in 2014 and was even the 2014 SEC Freshman of the week for November 1st.

If McCrary can provide stability and consistency at the position, the rest of Vanderbilt’s offense will have an outside chance of beginning to click.  The Vanderbilt offense cannot click until it obtains some sort of rhythm.
