When a team is breaking in a new quarterback, stud players can make the transition infinitely more smooth.  Fortunately for Florida, who will likely start Will Grier at some point, Kelvin Taylor is that type of player for Florida.

Not only is Taylor a dominant player, dominance at his position will help aid the transition for the new starter.  A consistent run threat always makes the life of a quarterback easier.  It opens up play action passes and keeps 3rd downs manageable.

Kelvin Taylor has some company in the backfield with Adam Lane and Jordan Scarlett, but Taylor is in line to get most of the work.  His production is the key to success under McElwain in year one.
