While the Volunteers will depend on Joshua Dobbs in a similar level that Mizzou will rely on Mauk, Tennessee actually has a player besides their quarterback that will be their most important.  Dobbs will be the MVP and best player, but Alvin Kamara will be the x-factor for Tennessee this year.

Alvin Kamara is supposed to come in and provide a change of pace at running back.  The hope is he can combine with Jalen Hurd to provide an elite level rushing attack for Tennessee.  There is not any doubt about Hurd’s ability to deliver.

If Kamara and Hurd can combine to give Tennessee an Arkansas-type rushing attack, Joshua Dobbs could join the Heisman conversation, in earnest, rather quickly.  Tennessee’s odds of winning the SEC East would also increase exponentially.
