Defensive Lineman:

Where the voters got it right:  Carl Lawson may be coming off an injury canceled his 2014, but the young man is a monster.  He will prove his doubters wrong before the season is over.

Where the voters got it wrong:  Myles Garrett had 11.5 sacks, but 8 of those came against Rice, SMU, and Lousiana-Monroe.  9 came at home.  I’m not buying it.

Linebacker:

Where the voters got it right:  Reggie Ragland.  Not for making the first-team, but for being one of the top vote-receivers in 2015.

Where the voters got it wrong:  The 2015 linebacker crew is not up to typical SEC standards in 2015, no egregious errors here.

Defensive Backs:

Where the voters got it right:  Vernon Hargreaves III.  The same as Ragland, this is more for him being one of the top vote-receivers in 2015.

Where the voters got it wrong:  Give me Tony Conner over Johnathan Jones ever day of the week, which is also what you’ll hear NFL scouts say.
