Win the SEC often?  Check.

Play for a National Championship often?  Check.

Beat Auburn more than they beat you?  5-3

Coach a Heisman finalist?  Multiple checks.

Coach a Heisman winner?  Check.

Win National Championships?  Multiple checks.

The checklist to be considered a successful coach at The University of Alabama is a daunting one.  Nick Saban has checked each obstacle off without issue.

Some fans may claim the game is passing him by with the transition to spread offenses or that he has lost his touch in big games.  While his postseason record is not spotless, his National Championship record is.  I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt there.

But just so we are clear, Alabama went 11-2 and 12-2 in 2013 and 2014, respectively according to sports-reference.com.

The only issue there might be is with the Texas job situation.  Saban basically calls the whole ordeal hot garbage…but it would not be the first time he called the truth a lie.  According to al.com quoting the Associated Press, Saban felt a “special pressure” at Alabama, considered himself more of “a turnaround artist than a long-term CEO,” and considered Texas the only school worth leaving Alabama for.

Video of Saban’s response is here.

That is it.  It is time for this to be over.
