Scouting the Tar Heels: Defense
Even more so than the Gamecocks, North Carolina needs answers on defense. The Tar Heels brought Gene Chizik on board in an attempt to overhaul a unit than finished 117th in the nation in ’14.
Just like South Carolina, many Tar Heels are moving positions in a new scheme. The question is if intriguing sophomores like Namir Jones and Dajuan Drennon can put pressure on opposing offenses.
In the secondary, the ‘Heels will need vast improvement if they want to be competitive.
