Week 1 – Sept. 5: Home vs. McNeese State, Tiger Stadium Baton Rouge, Louisiana
In week one fans in Death Valley will get a small taste of how good their team is going to be this season.
Starting quarterback Brandon Harris and Leonard Fournette will get their first opportunity to light up the scoreboard and lead the Tigers to a blow out victory.
Last season Harris played in eight games for the Tigers, throwing for 452 yards on 25-of-42 passing attempts. Harris also threw for six touchdowns and two interceptions.
Harris won the starting job over Anthony Jennings, who started last season for the Tigers, and threw for over 1,000 yards and 11 touchdowns. Jennings threw the ball into the defenses’ hands seven times in 2014.
Harris will prove why he earned the starting role early on this season and won’t really be tested in week one. Both quarterbacks will play but Harris makes it a point to stay in the starting lineup.
Record after week one: 1-0
