Week 2 – Sept. 12: Away @ Mississippi State, Davis Wade Stadium Starkville, Mississippi
In the Tigers’ first away game of the season, against the Mississippi State Bulldogs, fans of both teams will be able to see which forms of their favorite teams will show up for the 2015 season.
The Bulldogs are led by senior quarterback Dak Prescott who was named a finalist for the 2014 Maxwell and Davey O’Brien awards for college football’s player of the year and best quarterback. But his results here will be incredibly underwhelming.
In this early SEC matchup between the teams that finished second and fourth in the SEC West last season, the Tigers will show how good LSU can be in 2015.
The 14th ranked Tigers will show off their ability to complete passes, a problem that plagued the team in 2014. Junior wide receiver Travin Dural was the only player to catch more than 20 passes in 2014.
Mississippi State stole the game between the two last season winning in Death Valley, 34-29. This season, the Tigers will travel to Starkville set on revenge.
Record after week two: 2-0
