Week 3 – Sept. 19: Away @ Alabama, Bryant-Denny Stadium Tuscaloosa, Alabama

The schedule for Ole Miss couldn’t work any better. They draw an early matchup with Alabama during a season when they will rely early on their running game to beat teams because their quarterback situation is like having too many chefs and not enough ingredients.

The Rebels will take advantage of knowing the game plan and will shut down Derrick Henry and the Crimson Tide’s rushing game. The defense is what will win this game for Ole Miss, along with a shocking burst from an overlooked offense.

Last season, Ole Miss handed Alabama their only regular season loss when they won 23-17 in Oxford. They won that game on a late quarter drive that allowed them to take down the then-ranked No. 1 team in the nation.

This year, Ole Miss will again be the only team to crack Alabama’s try at a perfect regular season record. Evan Engram and Treadwell will both have big games as Chad Kelly gets in tune with the SEC competition and his receivers.

Record after week three: 3-0
