Week 5 – Oct. 3: Away @ Texas A&M, Kyle Field College Station, Texas

This will be one of the lowest scoring SEC games in 2015. I’m talking 10-7 type of scoreline. Most people will say that is insane taking into account how much these two teams score, especially given A&M’s style since they really haven’t ever gotten away from their Big 12 playing style: score a lot but don’t play much defense. Both teams were in the top 30 in points per game last season, (MSU 16th – 36.9, A&M 26th – 35.2).

Others will think its ludicrous because there is no way the Bulldogs don’t score at least two touchdowns with Prescott taking the snaps. Well to that, I’m not afraid to be bold.

This game will be nothing like the Bulldogs’ 48-31 victory in 2014 and the Bulldogs’ loss in week five will be overshadowed by the early exit of Kyle Allen from the A&M starting backfield.

Mississippi State will lose this game and kick-start their fall from national prominence.

Record after week five: 2-3

Next: Week 6: Troy
