In the season’s third week, College Gameday is headed for the deep south for the most highly touted edition of Alabama-Ole Miss ever. The question is if fans of the two southern flagship institutions will be on the edge of their seats like they were at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium last October.

In the 2015 edition, quarterback Chad Kelly and the fly-highing Rebs offense will attempt to slay SEC beast Alabama in front of a raucous and revenge-minded home audience in Tuscaloosa.

While cornerback Senquez Johnson’s heroics sealed a 23-17 victory for Mississippi in last year’s classic, Hugh Freeze won’t do any favors for his team’s playoff chances unless he finds a way to lead Mississippi to victory in a city they haven’t won in since Ronald Regan was president back in ’88.

Americans will be excited for a late-night dixie battle that should have it’s fare share of traditional spread attack and old school power running — along with two defenses that are known for a fair share of big hits.

This is can’t miss football action coupled with barbecue, blondes, and some good ole’ fashioned tailgating? Count Southbound and Down in. See you on Saturday.
