Mississippi: Offense
Offensively, Ole Miss is a fine tuned machine. First-year Quarterback Chad Kelly holds the keys to unit. He hasn’t been too shabby so far, tossing for a mere 557 yards and six touchdowns in limited time through the first two contests. A 72.5% completion rate adds to his impressive resume.
The young quarterback feeds the bread to a host of receivers. Hugh Freeze’s offense is on a roll and standout Laquon Treadwell isn’t even a statistical leader. Currently, Treadwell is the third guy behind Cody Core and Quincy Adeboyejo, who have totaled a “pedestrian” 16 receptions for 329 yards.
However, Southbound and Down won’t give the Rebels a cookie until they have earned it.
It’s not like we’re doubting Ole Miss, but a challenge against a stout ‘Bammer defense should be a good metaphorical measuring stick.
Chad Kelly: if you lead this offense to victory, we have a cookie jar waiting for ‘ya.
