Florida: Offense

Florida, Florida, Florida… the Gator’s offense, always the anchor that drags UF down. Right?  Perhaps. Let’s break this thing down.

In action against Kentucky last week, Quarterback Will Grier completed 13 of 25 passes for 125 yards, coupled with one touchdown and one interception.

Hey, at least Grier isn’t Treon Harris. The gunslinger isn’t just a passer, either. The freshman has mobile potential as well, and he even outgunned Gators’ starting runner Kelvin Taylor against Kentucky — rushing for 61 yards.

The offensive line is made up of a number of true freshman and they’ll need to develop further, not only throughout this season but also in the future.

The skill players that the line will try to protect? Previously mentioned Kelvin Taylor is averaging 51.3 yards per game, and that’ll need to improve. We haven’t heard much about UF’s wideouts, who’ll need to produce against a tougher Tennessee test.
