Flooding in Columbia, South Carolina has forced the Tigers and Gamecocks to play this Saturday in Baton Rouge. South Carolina officials released a statement Wednesday detailing the decision and information going forward. Any time a program is forced to vacate the homeland for the opposition’s its tough.

This is something that happens very rarely, but the Tiger fans are well acquainted with situations like this due to Hurricane Katrina years ago. Nonetheless, the Tigers and Gamecock will square off.
For South Carolina it’s all about containing, not stopping, Leonard Fournette. LSU’s passing threat is rather non-existent, and South Carolina will only have to keep an eye on it. Look for the Tigers to do their usual and try to wear down the Gamecock over 4 quarters. South Carolina is not having the season it hoped for, but opportunities await down the stretch. LSU, sitting atop the SEC West with Texas A&M, will be looking to add another win to its resume.
The SEC West is now wide-open for the Tigers and Aggies with Ole Miss getting exposed last Saturday in Florida. Late November looms large if LSU can stay course in the ever volatile SEC waters. South Carolina has practically lost any chance at the SEC East, but will they be able to have a say in who wins the West Saturday at noon?
