11 Florida VS Missouri

Location:  Memorial Stadium/Faurot Field, Columbia, MO

Game Time:  Saturday, October 10 7:30PM ET

TV:  SEC Network

The Gators have reestablished themselves for the time being near the top of the college football world.  Fresh off a thrashing of Ole Miss in all facets of the game, they’ll be looking to continue the success against a Missouri team that seems to find a way to squeeze out enough offense and win ball games.  The SEC East showdown in Columbia will set the tone in division play for both teams the rest of the season.

The Tigers, at 4-1, already have a conference loss at the hands of Kentucky.  They can rectify the letdown with a win over highly, and probably under ranked, Florida.  On the flip side, the Gators stand 5-0 with a win over formerly single digit ranked Ole Miss and look to continue rolling through the SEC portion of their schedule.  Florida has already knocked off East Division foes in Kentucky and Tennessee.  If the Gators can find a way to win in Columbia Saturday, their only threat from the East will be Georgia later on.  At this point it’s hard to pick against Florida with momentum, morale and confidence all on their side.

Columbia can be a funky place to play for some teams and Missouri is sometimes not held with much regard, considering their success since joining the SEC.  Gary Pinkel of Missouri has a world of experience with the Missouri program and will have his Tigers ready for the Gators.  The Florida-Missouri matchup should be a great game Saturday night, and one anybody following the Eastern Division should pay attention to.
